Bump in the Night

So, a little follow up concerning my newly discovered "guest" in my house last meeting....

This guest of mine, uninvited, demonstrated extremely impolite behavior and it was evidence of a fore mentioned improper manners that alerted me to his (or her) presence in the first place. Namely, he had made himself quite comfortable in my tea cup while I was out, and had left quite a "mess" after vacating the premises.

This fostered no fond feelings in me towards my newly discovered guest, and I promptly set out not one, but two pads along the wall that may or may not have been covered in glue. I strategically placed these upon leaving the house the next day, and when I returned, they were still untouched.
HOWEVER.....

I was awakened in the night by an unusual sound...coming from the further room. The elusive guest had blown his cover. He was definitely stuck, but not entirely immobile...I will leave the rest to your imagination.
Ah! I did not want to get out of bed in the middle of the night, much less to such a situation, so, I grabbed the broom, opened the back door, and gave a great shove. The trap, with it's captive, skidded across the deck to a satisfactory distance. Door shut...I'll leave him to die in peace...or else for the birds!

Grizzly!!!!

Sorry woodland creatures. :/

Pocket Nerd, you know what you'll be doing the next time you come over.

February 2012

Greetings, fellow persons of the blogoshpere!

This is officially our first post on our epic new blog! (Side note: the three others are currently arguing over the use of the word 'epic' vs. 'awesome'. Please feel free to post your feelings on the matter.)

Anyway, we made smoothies today (courtesy of Frenchie). Banana, strawberries, and chocolate. Yum. (And now Frenchie and PocketNerd are arguing over the number of exclamation points to use after 'yum'. I'm just using a period. They can get over it.) Recipe to follow (Frenchie forgot it). We served it in little wine glasses, which made them a little fancier-looking.

We also had s'mores--with dark chocolate! The marshmallows were flat, which made for more even cooking. And, let's face it, flat marshmallows are just plain cool.

The Lady put us to work as soon as we got here, without hesitation (shows you how much we mean to her). PocketNerd buried a dead squirrel and fixed the hammock...twice (after she and Frenchie broke it twice).

I promise the blog will get more interesting...hopefully. I shall leave you with a parting photo of myself and PocketNerd.

Signing off,
Turner
